Seattle Fleet 2 is a member of the International Thunderbird Class Association (ITCA).  The fleet consists of over 50 members with between 8 and 15 boats regularly participating in racing.  We race every Wednesday evening at Leschi on Lake Washington from April through September.  In addition, the fleet participates in numerous other weekend regattas and long distance races both on the lake and on the sound as well as a yearly regional regatta which rotates every other year between British Columbia and Washington State.  We also participate every two years in the Thunderbird International Championships.  Please see our racing schedule. 

In addition to racing, we have an annual Christmas party, an awards banquet in January, and informative and fun monthly meetings during the winter months.  Our mission is: to make friends, have fun,  learn, promote Thunderbird sailing, and to do it cheaply! If your looking to sail in the top one-design keel boat fleet in the Northwest against some of the best sailors in North America without having to spend lots of money from now worthless stock options, your search has ended.  For information on how to get involved, find a boat, or other questions please email the webmaster. 

Membership into the fleet is just $30.00 per year for non boat owners and $40.00 per year for boat owners.  Members receive the Thunderbird News which is published 6 times per year and the ITCA newsletter which is published 3 to 4 times per year.  Members are also allowed to participate in all Fleet and ITCA sanctioned events and are eligible for awards.  To download a New/Renewed Membership application please click here. Trailer - Use of a trailer is available through fleet member Charlie Macaulay.  The trailer includes tools, jacks, and a gin pole for raising and lowering the mast.  The trailer is designed so that a boat can be set on dry land from the trailer and from the ground back onto the trailer by one or two people.  Donations of $50.00 for maintenance are requested for short term use.  Charlie can be reached at 425-831-5588 (H) or 425-557-4480 (w) or by email at charles.macaulay@globalriskconsultants.com
