2002/2003 Secretary's Report
Correspondence for the year, other than payment of dues and ITCA publications fell into three categories.
One category involved requests for information generated by advertisement in various publications, including an inquiry from Switzerland. The replies included a list of ITCA Publications plus ITCA and Fleet web site addresses as applicable.
Another small group included 2 former owner/builders of Thunderbirds wishing to create model replicas of their boats. One individual subsequently ordered a new set of plans to replace part of his original set. He also sent a set of progress photos of the construction of the model's hull. Another inquiry offered professional construction of R/C or static display models on a custom basis.
A number of inquiries requested data for the refurbishment of older boats. Again the replies included contacts for a nearby Fleet, suitable ITCA publications and reference to the ITCA web site Forum section.
One request for a sail number was received, but unfortunately appears to have fallen through the cracks without a number having been assigned yet.
There have not been any Measurement questions raised in any correspondence.
Communications included both paper and electronic mail. It is worth noting that corresponding via the Postal Service introduced a degree of delay due to the relaying of mail from the ITCA PO Box to Victoria.
Respectfully,
Doug Graham
